Choir questions God as road tragedy kills three members

Death is always a mystery that is hard to understand. Whenever a person dies, it becomes a harrowing experience especially to the bereaved family.

Some organizations have become like families because of the mutual love among the members.

One such family that lost three of its members was ‘The Ambassadors of Christ Choir’ of Kigali in Ruanda.

The choir had the saddest ever experience when three of their beloved members died in a road crash. At the sight of a filmed mangled bus, one wonders the mysterious survival of most of the singers.

No wonder the choir has composed a deeply sorrowful song that wonders why God whom they spent time serving could allow such a tragedy on his own servants.

In the song titled ‘Kuti Webyemeye’, the gorgeous singers, some of whom with an arm or leg in plaster, tearfully sing the vernacular song dedicated to the deceased fellow members of the choir, Amos, Manzi and Gatare.

“Why did you accept this oh Lord? This that caused great sorrow, Oh Lord why did you accept? Endless tears see the agony we are going through,” the choir mourns in such a piteous tearful manner that the viewer of the video can easily breakdown in tears.

In the video which opens with the funeral of the three handsome young men, the song describes the anguish of the singers with tears streaming down women’s faces.

“Endless tears, see the agony we are going through, we always remain questioning, Why did you allow this?” The sorrowful song translates the lyrics at the bottom of the screen.

“Whenever I remember that night, night full of agony, the night you accepted that we lose our beloved ones, this makes me ask myself, why did you let us have this endless tears oh Lord?

“In the shout of the accident, death attacked us, God you accepted that Gatare’s life get ruined, our friend Amos, humble Manzi, oh we shall not cease to remember .You will always be in our memories

“We are full of sorrow God and you know it. But all in all thank you for the wonderful works the ones you accepted that your servants do during the time they lived their lives.

“We do remember your deeds you have done during the time you were alive
We do remember you, the fellowship we had together. We shall never forget you,” they lamented.

Amos, Manzi and Gatare are going to be dearly remembered for their good deeds. What about you dear reader? Are you going to be forgotten barely after your burial because you have been an undesirable element to society? Your desire must be to do good to glorify God. That way, death is gain and you will always be remembered dearly like the three young men. What you should always remember is that life is vanity without expressing love to God and humanity. God bless you.
